Not got my laptop yet in order to work from home… i should technically be going there to work as I am classed as a “key worker” and we do some stuff for covid 19… they have 7 laptops in the office and I can’t get one but they have all staff going in… But I live with two elderly grandparents so I don’t want to risk it… so no money coming in… not from anywhere…
I wish was more things to do to make some cash.
Do you have a credit card?
Do not use a credit card to spend cash you don’t have.
The interest rates are crushing.
Ish, rest assured that the people reading your thread are paying attention and we’re all in this together, so people will help when possible.
I’m not writing this because I need financial help. Luckily I live with my family and we are getting adequete food. But I want to be able to work and contribute… but I do know we are all in this together and it helps to be on this forum at this time… it really helps with my sanity.
I don’t keep a credit card, never have. Scared of going into debt.
Maybe it was misleading to say No money coming in.
Glad you’ll be ok.
It’s the truth though, I have no money coming in. It’s really knocks my confidence I have to live off of my family… really sucks and I don’t even know if I will have a job at the end of this.
What makes you think you won’t have a job after the crisis ends ?
I am on a zero hours contract, I am not getting paid because I am not going into work, haven’t been going in since January (sorry edited its Feb). The initial reason was anxiety but now I can’t go in because I live with my grandmothers who are shielding both over the age of 85 one nearing to 100. I do not want to be responsible for them getting ill or dying. I will be on the books at work for a year, after that I’ll most likely lose the job.
You’ll be back to work before a year goes by. Most likely by autumn there will be no more coronavirus patients, worldwide.
Really hope so I can’t wait for all of us to get our lives back…
Yeah me too. I didn’t realize how free I was before. Now I need a signed paper and a serious reason every time I leave the house. I don’t go further than the grocery store 2 blocks away, twice a week that’s all.
Seriously? A signed paper to go out? They should really consider doing this here…
Yes I need to tick a checkbox on a printed declaration. I ticked the one regarding buying food. But I cheat, cause I also buy cigarettes which is not a vital purchase
Sorry to hear that @anon80629714
I heavily rely on my disability cheque to get by, I dont know what I’d do without it.
