Nihilism, nietzsche

I have, its ok to me… my fave track is Copy of A and Find My Way.

The only positive one that comes to mind is Everything.

I like his music don’t get me wrong, its just I wonder about the guy’s health (and mine :stuck_out_tongue: ) . I’m probably gonna download his newest album this year.

Very true. I’m trying to find mine.

I figured it out. I must embrace the Dionysian to feel the Apollonian

Omg… you all just blew my mind… what are you philosophy majors … guess what…

I think therefore I am.
I really have no idea what nihilism is but it sounds cool and I want to be one…
I think I’m a nihilist therefore I am.

I win. The end.

And to the person who said authoritarianism was the creme DE LA creme of worst isms… I beg to differ by saying totalitarianism is way worse than authoritarianism

Agreed. But authoritarianism is what leads to totalitarianism

Nehilism: noun The belief that Nehi soda does not exist and, therefore, that life is meaningless.

What is the belief that love doesn’t exist? Is there such a belief or a name for that belief

I’m not sure. I can say that love is subjective. It only exists if you want it to or believe in it.

Never heard of nehi soda lol

Authoritarianism= was.

Oh no, no, no. Not in any corner of the globe friend. Even here in this great social experiment I believe in known as the United States.

This is not a was.

I relate to a lot that proposed nihilists have to say but in the end feel, believe and remember too much to jump on board.

I don’t know…was just listening to this and it seemed fitting. Why not?

Nietzsche isn’t really a nihilist, though he’s sometimes labeled that. He is selling something, the notion that we can transcend our own humanity among other things.

I am confused about authoritarianism=was. I believe it is rampant with imperialism to guide it

Last I read that it said WAS the worst. I’m sticking to that.

I found out that he wasn’t. He wrote about it a lot though and he did believe morality was constructed. He feared of nihilisms arrival for us humans.

I’d warn just don’t get too pretentious in you’re pursuits because I used to be the high school drop out cutting you to ribbons whatever philosophy, though tolerant if you were cool about it. In my lifetime though when someone has found an ideology or philosophy there’s more often than not ego advancement involved and aims of having something to feel better than others about. But then a belief in believing in nothing, there you go, perfect for that I’d say.

I can definitely see people using beliefs to see themselves better than other people and I don’t let that get to my head. I respect all beliefs, as long as the beliefs respect people. Good advice though.
