I saw demons from the time I was 12-13, and I saw angels. My companion angel has been with me for decades, but I don’t see “him” anymore, I just feel “him” where “he’s” always been, at my right shoulder. I haven’t seen demons for a few years (?), and seldom see angels. I thought my major hallucinations must be gone. I aged-out of that “symptom” and negative symptoms seemed to worsen.
But lately I’ve been seeing people in my peripheral vision. They’re shadow-people but definitely human. There’s two to four of them and they’re always looking at me and moving around until I look directly at them and they’re gone. Sometimes they’re waving, like trying to get my attention, but I look and they’re gone.
It’s frustrating and has really upset me a few times, to the point of tears. I understood the angels and demons. They’re all around and we sometimes can see them, but these people aren’t there. I know they’re not there, but I keep seeing them. They won’t stop waving at me and making look. I don’t know who they’re supposed to be.
Aside from bugs, this is the first time I’ve been so upset. I want them to stop.
I see shadow people sometimes. They run by or walk by me. And they’re in my peripheral vision as well. I try to ignore them, but always end up thinking it’s spiritual.
It’s a switch for me. Angels and demons are so clearly spiritual and not as upsetting to me because it jibes with my beliefs anyway. Bugs are mildly upsetting but that’s been my longest lasting hallucination, so it’s kind of expected. But these people are upsetting because they’re new, completely unexpected and I know they’re not there, but they are there…

We have a different kind of shadow figure in our hallway that I’ve seen since we’ve lived in this house. My husband woke up and saw him briefly once and the cat has stared down the hallway. We’ve agreed that he’s a ghost of someone who used to hang out here when this house was a drug dealer’s house…
