Need to stop drinking in 5 star hotels

In Sri Lanka. And eating sushi which I may add is very tasty but extremely expensive. I don’t know how to budget. Asking my deputy (social services who looks after my money) for more money soon. I like 5 star restaurants.

When you travel, you should ask for a total budget you’re not allowed to exceed per day. Then when you reach that amount, you’re done spending for the day

Go rent a bodyboard bruh

I do too, but I am lucky if I eat at one maybe every couple of years and I make more than you do. Slow the hell down on the spending mate.

Go to a nice mom and pop restaurant and get some authentic sri lanka vibes. You can go to vegas for 5 star shiz lol

Sounds nice. Don’t blow your budget. I’m sure good food doesn’t have to be 5 stars

I had cheap day yesterday, spent under £10. Breakfast in local cafe. 3 samosas and strong coffee, £1.17. Lunch . 2 bottles of coke and a garlic Roti, £2.30. Dinner, Sri Lankan veg curry and two bottles of refreshments not allowed to mention here, under £5. All very feeling and where the local eat, not tourist places so no beautiful beach front restaurants, but still beach restaurants are not expensive.

That sounds good!

I get anxious spending money, I’ve been to 5 star places before and it was good but I don’t think it was worth the money for me, I’ll just make food at home

Somebody took me on a date to a very exclusive restaurant on the top of a major city’s tallest building once.

Little plates and a lot of money.

And I hate heights.

Not worth it.

I guess the point I’m trying to make is luxury is just a facade.

Save your rupees and try checking out some local flavors :+1:

Either way, glad you’re having a nice time.

Ha!

Same!

But mine was possibly worse, but I don’t know you’re whole story.

I also was taken to the top of a major city’s tallest building.

To give it away it was shaped like a ball and rotated.

While at the restaurant, I’ll admit, I had some cocktails.

But after a little bit the heights and subtle movement made me feel queasy.

I got sick and ruined the experience.

We left and went to a nearby Chili’s.

Classy.

Mr. Star and I once went to a tall spinning restaurant to celebrate finally selling our house. They had escargot and we tried it just for the novelty. I was surprised to find I actually liked it. The food was worth it, for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but I wouldn’t want to eat it every day.
