Need to lose some weight. Trousers are getting tight. I’m not a great one for calorie counting though. It’s hard to get a precise count of the calories you’ve had . I tried losing weight a few years ago by reducing the amount I eat,I lost about 9lbs in 8 weeks but then the weight loss stopped.
I can look at what to eat and not to eat, but putting it into practice re meals is a lot more difficult.
This is something many people deal with, so you’re not alone. I think in your situation making small changes to what you eat would be more beneficial than a large, sweeping change. I am no expert on nutrition but I think making small incremental changes would be easier to stick to.
Trust me, you’re not the only one here who needs to lose weight. I need to lose a minimum of 50 lbs. That would get me below 200, which is still overweight, but much less so. To be honest, it’s difficult to make long-term changes to my diet and exercise, even though I know it would be healthier for me. I have made smaller changes, like drinking less soda and eating more fruits. I force myself to eat all of the vegetables on my plate before eating the meat or carbs so that, if I get full I’ll have had all the nutrients from the veggies. I could do more, but I’ll be completely honest; I don’t want fo. I like junk food and sweets. It sucks trying to change your diet when you’re surrounded by the unhealthy foods you love. exercise raises ghrelin and leptin, horomones that control your hunger. Its a better way than doing it by sheer willpower. Right now im trying to do just 10 pushups, 10 situps, and 10 situps every 10 minutes…super easy, but its allowing me to stick with it!
I need to lose some, about 10 lbs would be good, I usually just start eating less, but last time had to start eating more when I started being dizzy all the time
I’m really struggling in this area, too. I get a stomach ache with my meds if I don’t have food in my stomach and I have ocd and don’t touch foods other people at the grocery touched, so I’m just eating packaged foods. It’s bad. I’m gaining rapidly.
I thought I would curb the weight gain by eating less takeaways ie from x3 a week to 1 a fortnight, but I’ve gained 10kgs(which I think is 22lbs).
I eat some fruit ,ie apples and grapes, but not as much as I should. I stick to those because other fruit bought for the week goes off.
I occasionally have veg. That’s usually when I’m having pasta in sauce as I add some to the pasta in sauce before putting it in the microwave.
The pasta in sauce and microwave rice are probably a bad idea as it seems to be more than a one person helping . It’s about 400-450 calories per pack. I’m not one for potatoes though because of peeling and chopping them.
