Need advice

Hello,

I have negative symptoms, but I also have three “hobby” : running, making music and reading.

I told myself that I could for example make every day an hour of music, read half an hour, and run 20 minutes.

It’s not huge but it would allow me to keep a rhythm, knowing that since lockdown, I get up too late.

Some people would tell me to be cool with myself, not to bother with too many goals. (I am a specialist in putting too many goals.).

Well, I also have to explain something, I can’t and don’t want to work, I’ve had enough problems with that.
So I’m not talking about work here.

Thank you very much in advance for your reading and your advice. :slight_smile:

That’s very reasonable if those are your interests.

It’s good to keep busy with things that improve your mental and physical health. I think you’re headed in the right direction.

@MrSquirrel Thank you !! :slight_smile:

Sounds good to me. You could even make goals within your hobbies. Like with reading, you could try branching out to genres you don’t normally read. You could try writing a song that is personal with lyrics meant to convey your thought and feelings to others.

Thank you…
You know I used to be on boards where people are very unhelpful, it’s really unusual for me to receive nice words like that.

I found it with google :smiley:
Besides, there are many more English speakers than my language. It’s a lot more people, and certainly more “serious” forums.

Hobbies are healthy for the soul, as is getting exercise. I’m very happy to hear what you are doing to take care of yourself. You don’t have to be superman. Be proud of yourself, and keep taking care of your soul and mind. :slight_smile:

maybe its just good to work on yourself just now, but i think everyone has a limit as to what they can do so be careful not to do too much that you cant handle, its ok to push yourself but not too much all at once,

:blush:

Thank… You’re right.
I played piano tonight. I’m trying to write a song to follow the @LilyoftheValley advice … It’s a hard thing :open_mouth:

@SkinnyMe I speak French, i’m from France… :wink:

@daydreamer You’re absolutely right. I often go beyond what I can do, and I get discouraged.

You can experiment and see what your limits are.

That sounds perfect!
I think you will be able to do this.

… I wish I could run too but my antipsychotic does not allow it
