Need advice on whether to go to sleep

I am still doing Lyft at this hour (3:30am) and haven’t slept in 20 hours or so. I noticed im driving kind of poorly and wondering whether I should sit and snooze in this Walmart parking lot for four hours or keep going. I went out at 2am to get an aiport run though, and don’t want to waste all this time and miss a ride request. May get a 5 hour energy (already had several coffees). What do u guys think

Running on caffeine alone is bad for your mental state. And driving tired is super dangerous. Rest for a bit. Take a nap. It’ll be worth it in the long run.

Dude, sleep! Sleep is vital to your existence! Also, idk the laws in your state, but here, if you get pulled over for poor driving because of lack of sleep, you can get a DUI and have your license suspended. That would be the end of your Lyft career.

Definitely get some sleep. Better safe than sorry.

Logged off for the night just before you posted this. I hope you chose sleep. Sleep deprivation screws with your reaction time, judgment, even your ability to be courteous to your customers.

Definitely make sure you’re well-rested before starting your shifts, and sign out if you find yourself getting drowsy.

Sleep, don’t drive sleepy. The road and caffeine and sleepiness is a bad combo.

Hi guys, i ended up taking a 30-minute power nap and felt very refreshed. Drove well for a few hours until i just slept for a few hours. Thanks everyone for the advice! I think it was best I rested.

Little power naps are okay, but you need to pencil yourself in for some deeper sleep at some point to catch up.
