being considered weird by normies is no big deal. my in laws think i am weird but they make fun of mental illness. I come from a family full of mental illness even after i got sick i still felt alone. the only person outside of the internet and this site that understands is my partner.

It’s not all it’s cracked up to be. My brother has it and our conversations have almost completely stopped because I choose to take meds and he thinks they’re brainwashing pills the government gave me to try and get to him too. Because they want to stop him from causing a revolution. And take away his guns.

I much prefer the people on here, who recognize they’re sick and want to get better. But we are a rare breed. So I’m just the token crazy friend in any group.

This forum is the only place I have found kindred spirits, but maybe you could find a support group in your area? There is amazing support here, and I don’t crave or require “in person” so this is perfect for me. I hope you find support here too and I wish you luck in finding companionship! :heart:️
