My window air conditioner just sparked and had a small fire

I can’t do this. Not only can I not pay lot rent and got an eviction notice, but my window air conditioner just sparked and had a small fire! I’m not sure what I’ve done to deserve this. I’m sitting here crying.

Wow. Lucky you were around. And awake. Did you have to put out the fire?

You didn’t do anything. It’s just a minor electrical fault with an appliance.

I had to first turn the breaker off, and I used a blanket to put out the fire. I’m shaking. It scared me so much.

Thanks, Ever. I guess I’m still able to react in a split second. It’s raining. Tomorrow, I’m going to try to move the bad ac, and put my only other ac in that window.

I honestly feel like I have bad karma or something. SIGH

It’s not bad karma. This is just how life works, sometimes. Good things happen for no reason, and bad things happen for no reason. It’s all pretty random. You’re a good person and you don’t deserve having all these things happen to you.
