Nothing about death is final as nothing about the universe is final and we are a part of it.
I hate when anyone brings up these afterlife threads since they almost always end up being about religion and I have to keep a particularly close eye on them.
Nothing religious intended. Call it cosmic.
I don’t blame you, but I appreciate that it’s not something that gets locked down instantly. My non-religious belief in the afterlife is a huge mood boost and allows me to take life much less seriously, which is important when you’re recovering from a five-year train wreck.
Well, if you and I are right, and there is a sort of afterlife sometimes, maybe I’ll be able to take my memorized poetry and associated memories with me.
What makes me potentially believe in an after life is that dying people often see loved ones who have passed on. ETA: so, yes, nothing about death would be final.
While I have no evidence, I like to believe there is an afterlife. Our physical bodies will die, but our soul/spirit or consciousness lives on after death.
No matter what you think it’s all about energy.
Science is good like that. I’m reading a history of humans and it’s very interesting. It approaches the facts whether your religious or not but it just applies the simple science about human development.
So. Whether you move beyond our energy or not your still trapped in the system. You can’t invent energy on any level unless your a cosmic forge…and not too many achieve that
I believe when you die you’re worm food and that’s it.
I’ve Been reading " Sapiens:A brief history of humankind". …It’s very interesting. It goes through the hunter gather culture to the city culture and why scientifically it worked or didn’t. It’s very revealing and just have read to the agricultural revolution.
Worth a read and it tells a pretty good story of what was and becomes our human society. We are a work in progress for sure!
The Human Web is also a pretty good book that I read years ago.
We studied the Agricultural Revolution, I honestly am drawing a blank on it right now
civilization is born and the population rises.
The being never stops being.
It changes form, but something remains.
You are That
Life is a gift to become something. After death there is no more opportunity for self to do good deeds.
