My vacation book reading list. Have you read any of these books?

Since I’m not drinking on holiday this is my holiday reading list below. I’m going to read one book a week.

One book in my list is by one of my favourite authors, he wrote The Kite Runner, I read this book the first time I went to India in 2006 and I loved reading it. I was renting this very basic little hut in Goa for 200 rupees a night (less then £2) and it was very basic and I would read a lot because in the evening their wasn’t much to do. I purchased The Kite Runner in Mumbai from a street book stand/seller and all the books were counterfeit so I only paid a couple of pounds for it. I really enjoyed reading it plus my environment in Goa seemed similar to Kabul where the book was set so this engrossed me even more.

Anyway I’m going to read them sitting on a sun-lounger on the beach with a sun-brolly and un-alcoholic drinks, I’m going to eat more local, good food. I’ve been reading a lot online about Sober holidays and when a person abstains from alcohol holidays are the worst enablers to drinking. I feel if I don’t drink for my whole holiday that would be fanatic footing for my continued abstinence.
