Are you schizophrenic?
That sounds like terrible advice…
And exacerbate your positives?!

Just remember. Therapists aren’t allowed to prescribe medication for a reason. They didn’t go to school for it.

I’d find a new therapist. That doesn’t sound like good advice.

Wow that’s out of the realm of their practice. When I smoked pot when I was younger that’s how I got sick the first time and went into hospital. Later in life many years ago tried it again got severly paranoid it was awful. My team and I know it is real bad to worsen symptoms. Big risk. I’m not against it at all for people who have no mental health issues.

My therapist said she’d support me getting medical marijuana, but its for anxiety. She never mentioned it until i brought it up. Any therapist houndi ng someone about drugs need to lose their license.

I honestly dont think anybody that has been psychotic should smoke marijuana . Talk to your pdoc. I doubt they would recommend any of this.

@anon12381882 I don’t have a pdoc I have a nurse my insurance don’t cover a pdoc

??? What??? This therapist sounds horrible.

I had a therapist like this before. She didn’t know what she was talking about.

Once I had akathsia and she told me I would get over it.

I had to complain about her to get in front of a doctor

This is terrible advice!
That’s the one thing about my therapist, she encourages me to stay on my meds, always.

Sounds like you should start seeing a new therapist.
