My sister is really bad

I don’t want to talk to her right now after yesterday. She seems to think she knows more about pdocs and psych meds than I do, even though I have been dealing with them for years now.

Yesterday, my pdoc told me he would need to see me if my echocardiogram shows I have heart problems. I got the cardiologist’s summary intended for my pulmonologist yesterday. My case manager suggested I email it to him so he can show it to my pdoc this morning at the treatment team meeting.

My sister is making a big stink about this that my pdoc doesn’t have any business being involved with my heart condition. Yesterday I googled Abilify and heart problems, and it said Abilify may be inappropriate for people with cardiovascular problems. I suspect that’s what my pdoc wants to talk to me about.

Your psychiatrist has the right to know your test results.

These psych meds affect our hearts in different ways.

No, you are right @anon54988740

Don’t listen to your sister

Thanks @Wave. I’m not listening to her. It’s 7:55am and the treatment team is meeting at 8:30. I’m just trying to kill some time until I hear what my pdoc thinks or if I’ll need to see him.

I don’t think my pdoc is happy. I’m on an AP that I have been happy with, and haven’t been pestering him to change it.

Does she know pdocs are doctors?

Good question. She acts like she thinks they are therapists.

My grandfather on my mom’s side of the family was a psychiatrist. He died in 1982 when I was 23 years old. I wasn’t diagnosed SzA then, but was having problems and had been in the hospital once in the psychiatric ward. He was retired but referred me to an outpatient treatment center with the State Hospital. He worked at the State Hospital.

My mom was a public high school teacher, and my dad was in the army.

I completely agree

Thanks @LilyoftheValley. I wasn’t very clear yesterday afternoon about what test results I was talking about. I think I cleared it up with this post.
