It’s all a bit rubbish
They seem to be aware that she is very unwell at that moment
I think There will be a psych evaluation
She seems to know she can’t run away from the hospital

They are going to see if she needs admission to psych
It obvs hasn’t been this bad before

She refused psych eval, she is convinced she is well
Second night in intensive care

Liver scan and biopsy now and stomach
She says she’s not drinking to us, to the doctors but mum has found 20+ empty bottles rum vodka wine beer, hidden and in plain sight in her apartment
She doesn’t realise what’s going on,

I was convinced myself that when I was discharged from hospital that I’d go on a road trip

She is going to have a psych assessment whether she wants it or not now
Maybe as she is literally In Their care they might be as it is responsible for her

That’s probably the best thing. Your doing a good job for her. I’m glad they saved her life.

I phoned her twice
Just listened
All I can do
Usually I worry she will shout me down
Or that she’d be sharp and not listen to ‘go to a doctor’
Listening is all I can do

Update
She is probably a bit better
Not as drowsy and back to angry with people trying to help her
She s had a psych round to her every day nearly and is incensed
Has withdrawn consent to speak to mum, her GP and me
So she wants to discharge herself
Knows she is too unwell
She will be there, if she consents, for at least another week
Because staff are so cagey anyway we were given little information
When she goes home she will most likely drink again and be back in hospital in no time
If it takes a week or 8 years I think it’s all over
Please understand that it’s really a horrible illness
She doesn’t have much of a chance at this stage
