My schizophrenia took away the most precious things for me in life

The most precious things for me:
Having a good cognition,
a good level of aerobic fitness,
having a clear ideology
and an active social life.

I have lost all of these due to my severe schizophrenia.
I still want to live forever,
because life in any form is better than death.

Sz might have taken away my dreams to study at varsity and it might have taken away my motivation

But it hasn’t taken away my family and my husband, my friends and my God. It has just shown me that these are the most precious things in life. And that they are true because they are still with me even when my sz takes hold

This just means you need to find new precious things in your life.

Like a pet, your family, the outdoors, music, food, something that you love.

Hold on to what you love and surround yourself with it, you’ll become happier.

Same here dude. I could not finish college due to psychosis and cognitive decline. The negative symptoms suck! I was barely smart enough for college and once the prodromal symptoms hit, I started getting Cs. I probably would have benefited from ADHD medication before my illness or symptoms started but it’s too late now.

I dont know what to say to you. You seem really sad.

I hope you get well from sz.

In life you’ll lose things, whether you get sz or not. Unfortunately you lost it very quickly, too quick.

But think of it this way. Now you can experience life in another way. You can gain newer things, live a newer and stronger life.
