No, my pup has been sleeping a lot today and he’s been a bit slow moving.
He’s also not showing any interest in his food and eating less.
I’m going to call the vets office

We just came back from the Vet
She doesn’t see any apparent major health issues with him.
He doesn’t have a temperature but she said if it continues or gets worse he’ll have to have some bloodwork done.
Oh yeah he has a minor ear infection in his right ear, which she gave me medication for him to take at home.
He’s also overweight
So she told me to feed him less and only twice a day
We go back to see her in 14 days

We feed our little Maltese a quarter plastic tin of dog food morning and night…with snacks in between.

Sounds like your little guy is going to be okay. This is good news! :+1:

I went by what the directions said on the bag

Yeah according to her he should weigh 22lbs, he now weighs almost 27pounds

I know the feeling. Two cats in my case, mine and my daughter’s.

they lie on the bag to try to sell more dog food. it may be the right amount for a very very active dog but for most its too much. if u feed him twice a day maybe 75% of what the directions say and see if he loses any that might work. i had to cut mine down but i did it pretty slowly and once they got to a good weight i figured out how much they needed.

Glad to hear all is going fine.

Had to take my cat to the vets recently. He’d had some sort of altercation. Part of the top of his hind paw was torn up (could see bone) and he has about 7 lacerations on his upper back. Doubt it was another cat. Maybe a fox or a person hurt him. He is fine in any case; eating well, sleeping fine, walking about fine. The vets had no deep concerns about this. Just time to heal.

He feels a bit sorry for himself. Its been a few days since he wakes me up at 5am, purring like a V8 engine and nibbling my ears. He does it to the wife too - she thinks its me! :joy:
