I have known him since I was 16 years old. I am 32 now.
I wasn’t due to see him before he leaves, but he has made time to see me before he goes.

Wow thats a long time with the same doctor, hope your new Pdoc is just as good.
He has been a life saver. I was in real trouble with the law and he got me put in hospital rather then jail. I owe him so much. I will never forget what he has done for me
How often do you see him?
It’s nice he has made the time to see you before he goes. I hope you get another wonderful doctor.
Are you going to get him a fairwell card? I think that is appropriate and not weird if they are retiring. IMO anyway
Only regular when I change meds but usually every few months
I will yes. I am pleased for him but sad he’s going
I wish my pdoc will stay for many years
I’m glad he is making time to see you before he leaves. It will be sad that he’s retiring, but it will give you some closure to the professional relationship. Hope you are able to find another good pdoc!
If I get a new doc and liked the old one, I will write them a ‘thanks for everything’ letter. I’ve done that a few times now. A few docs have put a lot of a time into me that they didn’t have to.
That has definitely been the case here. I will write a nice letter/card for him as he has helped me more than anyone else
I saw my last pdoc for 22 years. He retired a couple of years ago.
I would be in disarray if I had to see a new doc and I have only been seeing her for a year now.
