i dont know. I thought I read that you could report by phone, in person or by mail. Either way, Im just glad to have a method to get it done.
Im exhausted just reading this im glad you got thru to a helpful man in the end @Bowens
I believe the policy is changing to where you have to do that stuff online or in person. They’re trying to get rid of social securities phone service and make people make appointments. I guess it’s already starting.
Social Security is trying its best to keep phone service. Certain people need it like the disabled who can’t make it to a field office or seniors or rural people where a field office is too far away to practically visit in person. Social Security was going to stop phone service for certain people but advocacy groups put pressure on them to keep the phone service.
I tried to report a change once but gave up after an hour on hold
I thought you were in England?
Yep. The phone line was for my disability payments
They say you have to tell them if you get hospitalised
But after an hour on the phone I gave up
