My Latest Venture

So the garb business isn’t paying the bills. I didn’t expect it would, but it’s been particularly rough, so I’ve decided to add a new skill to my repertoire. I’m learning how to make lamellar armor!

Lamellar is a type of armor used in the early medieval period, in mostly Asian and Middle Eastern countries, though some examples have been found in connection to the Vikings and Russians. It’s made out of many small, overlapping plates laced together, similar to scale armor but without the leather or canvas backing. It’s relatively lightweight and flexible, and offers decent protection.

This isn’t an advertisement, i’m just sharing my latest project with you all. I haven’t made any suits yet, but I have one commission already locked in, with more hopefully on the way! Wish me luck!
