My insurance covered my Modafinil

I’m so happy. I’ve been on Modafinil for the past year and it really helps me with my work life and helps to wake me up in the mornings. My insurance has never covered it before, but I have new primary insurance now and they’re covering it! It’s only $10 for a 60 day supply! I’m so happy. With GoodRx it’s $67 for a 60 day supply.

Just be careful. Those are some real potent meds.

Isn’t Modafinil strictly for those with narcolepsy ?

Anyways, good news and hope it helps.

Moving to Medications.

It’s also approved to treat chronic fatigue syndrome. Which I do have, but it also helps with daytime sleepiness due to medications. I may not need Modafinil in the future if I successfully get off Loxapine.

I agree they are strong, but I don’t misuse them. My psychiatrist says I can take up to two tablets in the morning but I only take one tablet. So I’m not even maxing out my dose

i tried modafinil and armodafinil and i can tell armodafinil is more potent than modafinil in promoting vigilance and alertness and arousal.but caution is advised as it can worsen psychosis
