So my physician had be do lots of cardio and control my diet for sodium, and I still had pretty bad hypertension. I knew Geodon could be the culprit, and it was confirmed to be the problem- I am perfectly physically healthy otherwise- you guys have seen my fitness posts and such.
I am off Geodon and have been on a new med for a while, and I am down to 60mg propranolol (heart med) from 160mg and my vitals are good. Just read a little high on the systolic or 120, read 140 probably because I just ate, drank coffee, and consumed nicotine. The pulse was 66 and diastolic 80, and if you say you just ate two burritos and drank a tall black coffee and then hit your vape, they brush off the extra 20 on the top number as “well duh”.
Bottom line- I no longer have a heart condition. I don’t have to do excessive cardio or eat such a low-sodium diet. I won’t be dying too soon. I remember having to check “I have a heart condition” when I was signing to get my tattoos, and I asked my friends if I did, and they said yeah, sorry, and then I bled too much when getting the tattoos.
Feels good to be healthier. Now I don’t have to run and box like mad just to be healthy. I don’t have to be excessive about heart health to compensate for cardio illness.
