He’s in his mid forties and doesn’t date or anything because he’s afraid his religious family.
So, they’re both going out of town to a super gay city, to a gay bar.
For the first time.

Yeah, it’s a total party when you’re young. Not so when you get older. Just be aware of that.
I’m 38 and it’s stopped being a party for me when this illness hit, 8 years back. But even before that I wasn’t really livin’ it as they say, rarely went to night clubs or bars, didn’t get drunk or high, didn’t date that much etc. And it wasn’t because of family or religious reasons. I wasn’t holding back. I just didn’t feel attracted to this life style.

Back in my clubbing days gay bars were my favorite. Not only did they boost my self esteem, but the ones around here had drag nights which were the absolute best time a person can have at a club.
When i was at a bar in thailand once the bartender lady said to me “Youuu 3 minute, then long time sleep.”
That cracked me up.

I would go
I went a few times back in the day with a friend of mine who is gay. She would throw parties too, or go to other gay parties and often invited me. I would be the only straight person in the room often. It was fun though. A lot of interesting people and everyone were really nice.
Yeah. I get it. You’re just NOT gay in my family period
