My history with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches

so before i started going to school, mom was working and she decided to go back to college, so she would drop me off at my aunt’s house, where she would babysit me and i would play with my cousin who was a year younger than me. everyday for lunch my aunt would make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. not my favorite food, but i didnt complain.

then after a couple years, i started in school, and mom would pack my lunch everyday which consisted of, of course, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and either grape juice or apple juice, this was my daily lunch until the 2nd grade, when one day after i ate one too many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches i vomitted in disgust in the lunch room. my teacher told mom about it, and from that day on she would pack chef boyardee meals like ravioli which i loved. and i was a happy camper after that.

to this day, i refuse to eat another peanut butter and jelly sandwich haha.

in the 3rd grade i was taken out of private school, where mom and dad could no longer afford the rising tuition and placed in public school, where i would have school lunches and chocolate milk each day, although mom told me to only drink the white milk haha. the public school lunches were much better than what mom made.

looking back i realize how little effort mom and dad put into feeding me. quick easy meals, or fast food most of my life. but they were both working when i was a kid, so i guess i can’t complain.
