My health has taken a scary turn

It seems a lot of people are getting ill moreso aftert this pandemic. I find myself lost between the words. I dont know what to believe. i dont know how much much oxygen is too much, but 24/7 is a bit much on liter 4. The swelling and water weight was a reaction to the hospitalization. I can barely move walk, my energy levels fluctuate my oxygen levels fluctuate. They said i have minimized lung capacity and I dont believe him. He said I could have a hole in my heart. I got upset and decided I wanted to leave and ranted this morning to people. I walked outside and sat for awhile in the heat. Then I could barely walk back to the room, but thats mostly due to the water weight gain and fact i cant move.

I’m going to be switched to a bipap and portable oxygen. I dont have copd. I dont even know whats wrong with me.

I thought you smoked?

what do you mean

I just thought the reason your oxygen was a problem was because you smoked.

I’m sorry for all the health issues,

Trying to understand.

Why would the dr lie to you about that? I would believe the Dr

Its not because i smoked he said. He said its good that i quit though it makes his job easier. I was told there arent any early signs of lung cancer. I was confused how on a discharge paper or i somehow got diagnosed with COPD but was never actually tested for it. So I took the COPD test and was told its not COPD. that my left lung is positioned unusually high possible birth defect or something thats been gone unnoticed and unaddressed for a long time. he said there is some grey on your heart and he wants to make sure there’s no hole in my heart i did a walking test they raised my oxygen level to 4 from 3 and prescribed me portable oxygen. Idk—I have never checked my oxygen levels what if normal for them is not normal for me.??? Maybe having oxygen levels a 62 is normal for me even though other people would be dead.

It’s not normal for you compared to others. 62 is horrible. You need oxygen.

Did you get covid?

Hope you will get good help and support.

Hope you will feel better soon.

My boyfriend has emphysema and can’t breath in the morning.
I suggested he should get oxygen.

I have never had covid. Just spoke to someone at my housing unit. I was scared they’re trying to kill me by putting me on constant oxygen. She said I should wear the oxygen and that its safe.https://staminacomfort.com/can-i-get-too-much-oxygen-from-my-machine#:~:text=Too%20much%20oxygen%20can%20also%20be%20harmful%2C%20damaging,it%20only%20on%20occasion%20or%20in%20certain%20settings.

I cant stay outside very long.

Oh ok so your oxygen level is unrelated to covid.
Guess you should see a specialist for it

I dont have copd and never was diagnsoed with asthma. I just did the breathing test. specialist says he was surprised at the minimal lung capacity i have and how poorly my lungs were filtering out co2. He ordered more tests.

so far all i know is there is a minor abnormality in placement, that my blood is saturated with co2. that i cant smoke or i could pass out or die.

That’s scary! I hope you follow doctor’s orders until you know you’re ok.

Have they checked for an autoimmune disease? Some autoimmune diseases can attack the lungs and cause interstitial lung disease.

Im not sure. I know i was told I have a potentially over-active immune system HS What Is Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) | HUMIRA® (adalimumab)

thats more of an inflammatory skin disease linked to immune system. I have charcot-marie-tooth which can make you have stiff muscles, cramps. other types are worse than mine.

strangely i have been able to clear out the HS so I may have been misdiagnosed with it

Well, regardless of how it happened, I’m just glad it did clear out.

Water weight gain is an indicator of cardiac issues. Do you have swelling in the ankles, legs, or abdomen? My first thought is this is very serious and you should be following medical direction as closely as possible.
