to the VA hospital. She and I have been spending a lot of time together the last two weeks either irl or on the phone. But she never once hinted to me that she was having any problems. So, this is coming as a big shock.
I have to stay at her house while she’s hospitalized, in order to take care of her dog. That’s no problem for me. Her house is quite comfortable.

I had to cancel my vacation after all because I have “long covid”, which leaves me very fatigued with very little stamina and endurance. And bus tours involve a lot of walking. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep up. @Bowens

I just meant your vacation to housesit and dogsit at your friends house. Realize you may have your friend on your mind but it is a break from home anyway.
Usually yes. But it can take anywhere from 3 to 6 months. It’s only been 2 months for me so far. @Kxev
