My doctor thinks it’s not realistic to go to high school next year

I think that its realistic, I’m just lazy…

Try to progress at your own pace. With negatives it might be hard to study full-time.

I don’t have significant negatives

I homeschooled for my last 4 years of school. I couldn’t do public school anymore, I worked at a different pace, got to pick some of my studies.

My grandmother got her first bout of breast cancer around that time, so I stayed home and took care of her.

I feel it was the best option at the time.

I’m sure I missed a lot of socializing due to it, but my symptoms made it safer to be homeschooled.

What about a therapeutic school?

Whats that? :frowning:

Most are boarding schools. But, they are for mentally ill/traumatized kids. They teach life skills too. It’s sort of a cross between a very light hospitalization and school.

I was at a ”ward school” in the psych ward

I prefer being able to study alone

It’s not a ward school.

Is homeschool an option for you?

yeah ik sorry

Not really unfortunately

You don’t need to apologize. You did nothing wrong.

Well then, what kinds of supports do you need to succeed?

Idk to be honest :frowning:

I think you should go to school.
It will be very beneficial.
You need distractions and socialization

Yeah I think that too, idk why the doc is against it

Did the dr explain more?

They just said I’m recovering

Is it possible to take one semester off or as homeschooled or something if you need more time?

I know it’s different, but I should have taken time off when I was 17/18 and I didn’t. I still regret it. (I’m talking about college though, and not high school)
