From her trip to Costa Rica. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The rash in one spot is blistering. I hope it goes away with no problems! We’re a little nervous about it. But she has no fever so that’s good.
Might be a spider bite. Or a plant rubbed her. Hope it clears up fast for her.
@anon4362788 It’s on her thigh, chest, stomach, and behind her knees. Part of it reminds me of shingles. Part of it is completely different.
You better have that checked out by her doctor
She also says the muscle beneath the rash hurts
oh no !! waste no time taking her to the doctor…no telling what it is…!!
@jukebox My worry is that the dr won’t know either. They’ll just call it a rash and tell her to do the same things I already said. They don’t know rashes from other places like Costa Rica
Go to a doctor. Your doctors are smart they can google this, they know what to look for and rule out. Go get help before you regret it.
I had gotten into contact something in the yard. My mother in law thought it was impetigo from picking at my skin. She threatened me and forced me to go to the doctor. The doctor immediately knew it was not impetigo. It was healing and it could have just been a simple rash or poison. Gave me no medicine but reassured me it was contagious.
Well, I told my daughter she needs to see the dr. Whether or not she’ll listen is another question. She’s 19 so I can’t force her
As long as she keeps it clean and dry it should be okay. Just tell her if it changes color or spreads to get checked. its probably contact dermatitis, that’s the most common rash. it can cause muscle pain from the skin hurting.
Tell her she’s infested with parasites and the worms will lay eggs in her skin scarring her horrifically, or it could totally be nothing and its none of your business. I hope the idea that she’s gonna be fly larvae food will inspire her to go to the doctor.
Was not contagious sorry
Take her to the hospital. One of the questions they’ll ask is if there has been any international travel within 30 days. This will give them some clues and ideas.
My great aunt got a rash from working in her farm but it turned out to be scrub typhus. She was in the hospital for a week!
I highly advise you to get her seen by a doctor.
Having no fever is a good sign, but she should still go see a doctor right away.

I have tried to convince her to see a dr. Since she’s an adult I can’t force her. But the good news is she said if it gets any worse she’ll go in.
