My Case Manager is panicking

My very young and inexperienced case manager seems to be very nervous and frightened that I’ll lose my marbles any minute.
She knows I’m under a lot of stress because of my Moms condition and she keeps asking me if I’m taking my meds and if I’ll be alright.
She doesn’t exude an air of confidence.
Her inexperience is showing.

She came over with this other case worker today and I have a feeling that soon they will help commit me to the ER for an evaluation.

Feck that!

Sorry, man.

You’re really having a go with this whole new case manager thing.

I’m sure she’s concerned about all the recent changes you have going on and doesn’t know how to deal with it.

I wouldn’t read too far into it,

I doubt they’ll try to make you go to the hospital.

She is supposed to drive me to my psychiatrists office next week but I told her that I don’t know if I can make it because I am very busy helping to take care of my Mom.
I then told her that I might make a phone appointment with my doctor.
This was when she looked at me as if I were crazy and then she started asking me if I had enough medications to hold me if I skipped my appointment.
She said that she never heard of having a session over the phone.
She basically thought I was making it up and was delusional.

:flushed: maybe you can sit down and tell her your concerns … I have experienced this first hand too. I wish i dealt with it differently. I dunno what else to suugest :anguished: I think all managers need to be trained in this sort of thing.
