He told me to cancel my appointment which I got after months (over 5 months) so that we can save my mothers property. He thinks that me calling the mortgage people is somehow going to make them give my mum the offer quicker. So I need to cancel the appointment and focus on that. No. I will go to the appointment because I cannot take more months of this ■■■■.

Your brother sounds kind of overbearing to me. Let him know that sometimes you have to look out for yourself and get what you need instead of being everyone’s door mat. The way I handle a situation like that is to calmly say “okay” when I have to humor somebody, and then do what I need to do for myself.
