My sister’s husbands sister just turned out gay and he is upset that she is gay, he’s super religious…sad…I hope he doesn’t make a scene when she shows up at the Christmas party with her partner…

I still get surprised when people are still homophobic in this day and age. It must be where I live. I think he’ll probably be quiet. Seems to always be the religious types

Oh no! That would be awful! My daughter’s grandparents are the type that only accept a perfect family, so she’s never told them that she’s bi. My grandmother is much the same as them, unfortunately. She really harps on my sister for all of her tattoos, and she picks on me because my daughter’s hair has been blue for the past six years. I can imagine her fainting if she found out about her sexuality. My daughter doesn’t really see her, though, so it doesn’t matter. It’s the other grandma that is the problem. I don’t know how that’ll work if she marries a woman!

I go to church and they are conservative but I go anyways ignoring their views…I fully accept gays and their right to marry.
If they say anything you should stand up for her. I know it may make things awkward between you and your BIL, but doing the right thing is more important. Good luck.
