This is where i am at right now-

I’m concentrating on learning my instruments and things atm, i could mix a track very easily but i want to put the personal touch to it, i did about 20 tracks using a paid sound bank called splice but it was ‘other peoples sounds’ it felt a bit plagiarised and not genuine so i’m focusing on improving, i have started a music tuition class 3hrs a week, it is teaching my 3 favourite instruments which is Keys/Drums & Guitar acoustic & electric, I’m starting an IT class as well and she said she could help me with some music software and my push 2 device as well as other things, I am also wanting to join a choir and i recently scheduled an email about starting my radio show again.

Not doing anything with music until it is too cold outside for cameras or exercise. I’m trying to minimize screen time.

I get that, I’ve been cutting down on screen time as well but branching out in other areas.

PC is down so haven’t been making music, but I practice singing every day.

Lol thanks man it’s all good. I’d be able to afford one if I didn’t buy the electric guitar lol. Bad financial decision of mine. Maybe I can sell the guitar

Been too miserable to focus on music

Midi does a lot with Quantization, and Automation. Quantization is a term also used in
quantum theory. It’s good then to resample sounds with more complexity, making a micro montage. The sounds blend well enough by changing the amounts of quantization, and mix levels. Also midi allows non-destructive editing, using rhythms and scales.

sorry to hear that rainstorm, i struggle to get motivated so i am attempting to push myself back into it with music groups etc, my main goal is to be motivated enough to be able to play competantly in my flat & then maybe do some small gigs, thats my dream, i’d love to just upload those skills into my brain but this isnt the matrix so i got to do it the hard way, which is even harder with mental illness.

@BigBird that sounds interesting, i have used midi & quantization before but I’m not completely up on it.

Listening to a lot of midi music, subtler differences in Quantization contribute to a good sound. Almost any sequencer can achieve a good result, for example 16 time at 40 percent, 8 time at 20 percent.

One of the biggest benefits of music for Schz. is experiencing a meditative state of relaxation, and for exercise such as aerobics. This is a great zone for healing the mind.

Compared with other activities, then I am researching the application of this music for achieving a relaxation state, or for aerobics.

Typically without precise quantization sounds correct by swinging the volume, riding the faders.

yeah, i think i saw a random quantize feature, it had a probability percentage so you could change how random you want it on the selector knob to your track,
