Mumbling to yourself

At the appointment the pdoc asked about voices. I said I wasn’t sure about the difference between loud thoughts and voices . He said these things were on a spectrum . I then said if voices they were internal to which he said they describe that as pseudohallucinations.

To get to the point my stepdaughter then chimed in and said she had memories when she was 16 or so of my mumbling to myself ,but she thought I didn’t realise I was doing it. I have no recollection of that so she could very well be right .

It points me to the fact that sometimes we do things without realising we are but other people pick up on it. This is probably why it is advisable to have someone with you at an appointment to bring up things you do/have done that you yourself have not noticed . This helps to give a better idea of how things are to the pdoc.

My pdoc calls them hallucinations and many sites about schizophrenia mention that voices can be either external or internal. They’re equally voices, I believe

i forgot the words used to name this but it happens to everyone at least once in their lives. people mutter something to themselves without talking to anyone or themselves or even realize it. you just get so into something your thinking about or lose track of space and yourself. thoughts are deep man.

as for when people remember things that i don’t. that’s natural to. i remember things they don’t. i like it when i have certain family members around me or certain types of people where our traits compliment one another. memory is one. there are all kinds.

let’s not forget kids are very observant and this makes them smart.
