I think you did the right thing in waiting to tell your sister. Hopefully, she will see it that way, too. Everyone is there together now.

That must be terrifying, I am so sorry but I am glad the operation went well. Hopefully your mum will have a healthy and steady recovery now that she is in good hands. I hope you take time to look after yourself, if you need a lorazepam take it, you’re probably in shock emotionally yourself so a lot of self care is needed too.

second day she is in now,
worried about my mobility
my sister’s death wish
my own mortality and independence

sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she recovers well . there needs to be better driving laws and more cops watching traffic busy areas. people drive like assholes its ridiculous and have no patience to wait for people crossing on the crosswalk/sidewalk. its happens all the time I have almost been hit many times.

She is running a temperature
Why would she have a temperature ?

She has an infection
I’m coming out of shock so now I’m worried
I think this is a lot worse than shock
Shock protects you from this

Sorry for this accident … in those accidents we know how important is our health and lives , love to you

I’m so sorry this happened to your mother. Modern medicine will do a lot for her.

Thanks guys

she is still in hospital

threat of infection still there but her temperature is normal again
her blood pressure is normal again

the hospital will run on a skeleton staff at the weekend so the physio needed to get her mobile on one foot with crutches means she won’t be released till monday or Tuesday at the earliest

I’m glad her infection cleared up. She is safe in the hospital, and getting better. Have you been able to rest at all?

How scary! It sounds like, despite being an incredibly traumatic event, you are being really strong. Waiting to tell your sister was a wise decision. I hope your mother heals quickly and gets the best care possible.

I’ve been given the strong antihistamine phenergan.

Although it makes me sleepy in the day I have committed to at least a week perhaps 2 (i was given 14) of very good sleeps.

Backwards and forwards to hospital… seeing her later today
