Multiverse Movie Poll

With the mediocre box office or critical ratings of “The One” and “The Flash,” I was wondering why some people don’t seem to like multiverse movies.

  • In what universe do I, my namesake, or my doppelganger dislike multiverse movies?!
  • All snowflakes are unique just like all other snowflakes! To imply otherwise is just cold!
  • My parents named me Munique because I’m unique! ( I sort of borrowed that one from Disney )
  • They are just boring.
  • Darn it, Jim! I’m a patient, not an onamatologist, psychologist, physicist, or geneticist!
  • They make me paranoid that my doppelganger or namesake will show up and go all Highlander-movie on me
  • “The One” with Jet Li implied that he was acting like a schizophrenic, and that insults schizophrenics everywhere! We aren’t all that short!

I fixed the subject line for you.

I guess that many people have thought that I was really crazy when I talked about the namesake thing. I’ve been making Clint Barton references ever since 2017 when I had my full name on my helmet at work and a guy asked me who my favorite Avenger was. I thought about it, and said something like I guess my favorite Avengers actually were Clint and Bruce. Appropriate for a Clinton Bruce.

People thought I was crazy even after studies from 2017 and 2024 that made the namesake thing a very valid scientific topic:

One of my relatives was finally convinced the other day, though. She met someone of a completely different genetic race from her dead brother, but the same name, and she said he looked like him. She was finally convinced by a personal, emotional anecdote.

I’m obviously not the Clinton Barton the Avenger stories are based on. Having carried the name Clinton Bruce (Last Name Left Blank) from about 6 months before I was born to very nearly the age of 49 now, I think that I can’t help myself from carrying some of his personality traits, though.

I’m glad that a relative of mine finally realized that.
