I participated in a research study recently that evaluated risk decision making in people with sz/sza. Part of it was a lot of psychological testing and then they stuck me in an MRI for an hour while i played gambling games. It was kind of fun but very uncomfortable. Anyway heres my brain

I did the same once, they sent me a image of my brain, I did the study just to get the MRI

Cool you participated in a research study. I did a lot about a year ago. It feels good to help in research. I might start up again but I’ve been using cbd and I wouldn’t pass their drug testd

Are they gonna tell you anything about it? Does your brain show loss of grey matter?

They said they cant really tell me anything unless something is seriously wrong. I wish they could! I’d like to know

That’s BS. If you’re going to participate in the study they should explain each and every deviation from the norms and it’s implication for schizophrenia research. Because that study sure as hell is going to be behind a paywall anyway. God I hate academia.

Neat! I’ve had MRIs done for migraines, but never for my sza. I don’t think I even have a copy of mine anymore. Make sure you keep it! If you really want an opinion on possible effects from sz, you should take the copy in to a doctor and have them evaluate it.
