She’d get you to need her and then walk away. He’d get you to trust him and then he’d do something cruel to you.

My parents are alright since they give me a cheap roof over my head at 31.
There just both pretty lonely. Especially my mum and it severely affects her. So there’s the issue.
They sound like really selfish parents.
But someone on the forum once said to me “having children is a selfish act” in itself. I think I understood what he meant.
My parents were messed up. Mom was bipolar and gave me to her grandmother, only picked me up to show off being mommy to her friends. Dad was a druggie who was never around and beat the women he married.
