I’ve been bit by something 3 times, 2 on my face and one on my shoulder. They feel like mosquito bites. I googled it and you can still get mosquitos in the UK in October, especially since it’s really mild at the moment. I sleep with my window open, Have you ever been bit in October?
I get bit by thousands if not hundreds of thousands in the bush fishing and stuff your lucky that’s the amount of times it’s happened
I don’t think I’ve ever been bitten by a mosquito
I wanna live where you live
Do you live in a city usually where there’s trees there’s a ton of mosquitoes
The forest if you don’t use bug spray your gonna be itchy all over there won’t be a single spot that doesn’t itch
I saw a mosquito on my wall a couple of weeks ago and squashed it with the palm of my hand.
If you think something small cant make a difference than try sleeping with a mosquito in the room.
Well you’ve not see Florida yet. Open (non-screened) windows is synonymous with suicide in this state, most of the year.
I remember reading a old fiction book on Florida set during the cattle ranching days. In one passing scene the main characters came across a bunch of dead cattle, who had suffocated from mosquitoes blocking their air passages (use your imagination). That may be a work of fiction, but everyone who lives in Florida would not be so sure it really is.
I literally cannot go 5 feet outside of my house’s screened porch without being attacked, harassed and chased back into relative safety of the household, for certain periods of the year (usually over half the year.)
Winter’s season allows the preserve I live near to become ‘accessible’. And it is actually nice during that time of year where it is cool, dry and habitable for people, and not wet or mild enough to let those SOBs survive.
So far this year they have survived thus far into late fall where I live, due to mild weather and rainfall. I swear there should be a holiday in Florida to celebrate the sustained cold blasts which sends them back to hell.
I remember working in a park (luckily inside a building there), where the mosquitoes would rise out of the grasses at dusk in the worst numbers I’ve ever seen. I mean enough to blot out the sun’s light if they did this during the daytime.
The scary thing is it is even worse in pure tropical areas. I don’t even want to know. Ever hear of the phrase “the jungle will eat you alive”, well now you know the how and why.
You can use specific mosquito netting over your bed if they are getting in your room. Kinda like a tepee which hangs from the ceiling.
I am in Florida and I agree - it’s bad!
They search dope,you probably don’t use…
