Here in central and eastern Washington state, wild morel mushrooms pop up in May/June in areas burnt by fires the prior year and sometimes for many years after. You can find them in large clusters like in the pictures below. I found around 15lb in four hours! I work a minimum wage job and was considering staying my there to make money (they sell for $40/lb in store). Only a three hour drive from my house.

Wow! I so wish I could find some. The season is over here. I had a chicken of the woods grow in my front yard on a maple stump, but it didnt come back the next year.
Dang, I don’t know about your seasons but fall is a great time for mushrooms like chanterelles here
Here, too, but it’s just too hot now for morels.
