People who I keep in touch in instant messaging app can make me happy or sad, depending on their replies, frequency of replies and how long it takes for them to reply.
I become easily irritated if they send me too much messages, or take longer time to reply. I understand that a social network is good for health, but I am just not ready for that, I need alternate week for timeout.
How can I cope with mood swings if a social network is not helpful? I think I am on the right medication anyway.
It is easier if you pick up social contacts during other things. For example, if you work or are engaged in a hobby and then take a break, you start socializing. Then you do not have to wait for reactions or you just stop the conversation when you go back to what you were doing.
Maybe I used a wrong term, it was a social circle in WhatsApp. Sometimes I do take a break from it by deleting the account. Now I just delete the unused contacts. Thanks for the suggestion.
I like your approach. Next time I will do like that, but sometimes people want prompt reply and it left a good impression if I read and respond quickly.
