4.1 Therapeutic indications
Prophylactic treatment of angina pectoris.
A vasodilator to treat schizophrenia. A pill that treats peripheral vasoconstriction treating a chemical imbalance and or structural changes in the brain. It reminds me how they use radioactive sugar to check for cancer and tumors.

People were following sodium nitroprusside, another vasodilator, as a possible treatment for sz for the last several years. The treatment turned out to be a dud.

Vasodilators might work on a subset of schizophrenics, they probably only work on treatment-resistant scz. I write that because.
- In FM’s original paper they write the treatment showed improvement in patients with “persistent symptoms”
- In this paper Sodium nitroprusside treatment for psychotic symptoms and cognitive deficits of schizophrenia: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial - PubMed (where they dismiss the vasodilator sodium nitroprusside as a treatment) they tried the treatment on a wide range of scz.
