dad just paid a guy $100 bucks to come grind a tree stump down for us. the guy said he’s done 34 jobs the last two days with 6 more to get to today. you do the math, doesn’t take a genius to grind down tree stumps, i’m capable of that.
it’s seasonal work but whatever. i like seasonal employment with my winters off.

How much to rent or buy the stump grinder?
im not sure I wouldn’t think it would be more than 200/day. my brother rented one from art’s tool rental a couple years ago and that’s what they charged him. this guy downs trees during the week and grinds the stumps on the weekends. fellen trees is too dangerous for me but I could grind the stumps.
Equipment is expensive and you need a truck to pull it around, plus many want the stump grindings removed, Once you have that sorted out , getting the word out is also costly, phone, advertising and it takes a lot to get business
