Mom's pineapple

she brought it in for winter. I don’t think its getting enough water, isn’t it supposed to be tropical? anyways her sister in florida taught her that you can cut off the top of a pineapple soak it and then plant it in soil and it will supposedly grow.

, we live in Indiana btw. I laughed when she said she was growing pineapple but then I heard some other guy in town had an indoor pineapple.

here it is so farWIN_20181111_10_45_43_Pro

lemon verbena to the left, and a fern to the right. the lemon verbena has a nice scent. some kind of basket outside the window, that’s moms that will be gone when she moves out. im going to put a tent out on the front porch when they go and sleep out there sometimes. it’s a covered porch.

You’d think there is a special lamp she could buy to grow the pineapple being that it is a tropical plant. I know it’s not tropical :palm_tree: in Idaho.

yeah I kind of rolled my eyes when she said she was growing a pineapple. it’s her baby now, I don’t help out with it. we’ll see how she does. I haven’t noticed her watering it, I read up on it a bit and it says you want it moist but not soaked. you don’t want it getting dry.

it’s Indiana btw…no mountains here like they have in Idaho. some rolling hills though some parts. still not tropical here

she’s not here… I just called her and told her she has to keep it moist. she says she’ll water when she gets home.
