Is it normal to feel some periods of normality when ur having a mixed episode
Im an Ultradian cycler, so my moods cycle extremely quickly.
I can go from feeling down in the dumps with a severe depression to feeling hypomanic the next hour or so - to feeling normal with my moods in a matter of minutes.
The Risperdal has slowed down my mood cycles some, but sometimes it happens to a certain degree even on meds.
If I was on a lower dose of Risperdal or not on any meds, my moods would be everywhere - I would probably be Hospitalized.
To answer you @anon80629714 - yes it is normal to having periods of normality when having a mixed episode but dont forget that you might be going through some withdrawals also so your moods will be everywhere from this as well.

Before the Depakote… there was that brief time the pendulum swung through some normal feelings while it headed for one side of the scale or the other.
