Milos Forman, the Oscar-winning director of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, has died at the age of 86.
Cuckoo’s Nest (1975) was groundbreaking in its use of humor and humanity in the depiction of people in a mental institution.
Faced with the evil and sadistic Nurse Ratched, the patients revolt in a comedic and heartfelt way.

The filmmaker, born in Czechoslovakia, challenged Hollywood with his subversive touch, and twice directed movies that won the Oscar for best picture.

I saw the movie when I was pretty young. I didn’t think all that much of it. But it’s the most famous film about mental illness.

I loved the book, but never saw the movie. My grandpa said it was pretty good, I’ve been thinking about watching it for a while

@anon55713086 I really liked the book too. The movie was fairly faithful to the book. From what I remember at least.

It was good, I think I preferred Girl interrupted… I enjoyed these movies cos I watched them before psychosis. Now I would not enjoy them. They would make me anxious and depressed
