Share your thoughts my fellow metalheads
I think it’s underrated! I think it’s a turning point for the band’s history, and it’s different. Different isn’t always bad. I thought it was a bold move, but I thought it smart. It wasn’t like anything we heard up to that point from them. I own the album myself, and learned the history behind the band when making this new album. I think it’s smart and it’s great! And It feels raw and chaotic… something i can relate to… but also the writing of all the lyrics were a bit different and done differently too. It’s a great album!
What are your favorite songs on it?
I like Unnamed Feeling, Sweet Amber, St. Anger
I don’t mind it.
I remember when it first came out.
I was in grade 7 and my teacher was heavily into Metallica.
It was a pretty heavy album.
The snare on it sounds like Shawn Crahan from Slipknot hitting a trash can lol
I really liked Invisible kid and unnamed feeling! I think those were my faves on that album
Yes, underrated. Maybe because I remember it on MTV as a kid. It was my introduction to the group.
I also think that garage inc. is my favourite Metallica album. Not sure tho.
The gatekeepers of metal at the time were really anti this album
But I still like it enough to listen to every so often
