I would like to help people with this illness. I have been sick for 58 years. I know my way around the system.
I don’t see any openings anywhere for advocacy for the mentally ill. All I see on the Internet are clinical, matter of fact statements aimed at psychiatrists. Mental illness is not an issue with the Trump administration.

You can join a club house or be a peer to peer support specialist. NAMI has stuff too.

What is a club house? I am in a Recovery International group that zooms.

Its a community place where you hang out with other disabled people and do activities. You can do chores or volunteer there too.
Peer support specialists get paid to help others with mental illness. Look in job search engines like indeed or simply hired to find those jobs. They’re often part time.
