What drives a psychiatrist to spontaneously remove medications?
Are you symptom free and stable for more than a year? Its very rare to a psy to remove meds unless you ask them.

My last piscotic symptoms were 3 years ago. I have been free of negative symptoms and my latest obsessions have been in December 2019
So only a year has to pass since the last symptoms? Or more?
It depends on the individual and diagnosis.
If its only psychosis maybe you can stop meds.
I have SZ and my psy accepted I stop meds 3 times. I was delusional, paranoid and hallucinating for a whole year before I tried to kill myself and end up in the emergency then mental hospital.
I was stable for years too before stopping meds.
I’m sure if you wanted to, you can still remain on them.
