Med change

So generic seroquel did not work good on sleep. I will be asking doc to try the original seroquel.

I have the impression that original meds are more heavy/potent than generics, so I figure it’s worth a try.

I’m not giving you any advice but this. That you try Seroquel brand and if that doesn’t work than go back on the antipsychotics that worked and had the least side effects.

The problem is I have been on olanzapine all the time and it’s not working well on sleep in a long time. So I’m going to have to figure out a way to change meds. Seroquel is a logical choice since it’s a sedating med. I tried Latuda and Abilify, but didn’t tolerante them.

What generic dose of seroquel you tried? Are you taking any antidepressants?

I tried in the range of 25-100mg. I got some sleep at 50mg, like 4hrs, but strangely when I increase the dose to 75 and 100mg I got no sleep.

Not taking AD’s.

I had to give up an antipsychotics I had used half a year ago and get an increase of seroquel before that I could sleep reasonable well.

Seroquel is a weird one because low doses are basically an antihistamine but as the dose gets higher it becomes less sedating and an AP at 200-300.
