I used to think the name “Adolph” was a horrible name
until this guy came on the scene
Adolph Robert Thornton Jr., better known by his stage name Young Dolph, was an American rapper. In 2016, he released his debut studio album, King of Memphis, which peaked at number 49 on the Billboard 200 chart. He was featured on O.T. Genasis’s hit single “Cut It”, which peaked at number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wikipedia
Just recently he was murdered, buying chips at a convenience store he just got shot up for who knows why…very sad…
It’s weird. Ive heard many rappers get involved with shady things. That could be a stereotype though. Idk.
I mean remember Tupac and Biggie Smalls. Why were they murdered?
tupac and biggie murders are still much a mystery
i think it has something to do with, there were racial tensions in the 90s, worse than now in a way, there was more bigotry and hate, now the sides at least have come together a bit more. I thank hip-hop a lot for it. It’s allowed white suburban americans to understand urban culture much better. a lot of memes and stuff and slang starts with urban minorities, but most white kids these days knows what they mean-- those things.
But no one really knows why tupac was killed. Or biggie either. Theres a lot of speculation. The govt, suge knight, guy tupac got in a fight with earlier in the night. They say biggie mightve been retaliation for the tupac murder.
Yeah theyre up to antics im sure
rock star lifestyle with a twist of thuglife
i see it now as a more dangerous world…nipsey hussle was killed for BS, pop smoke too, and so many more. a few overdoses came with the territory too… fentanyl and juice wrld was a mess on that plane when he intentionally overdosed.
I appreciate your interest in all kinds of cultures!!! @Loke its pretty great you have a curiosity for some things that you do!
Hope my post wasnt too wordy and was understandible
No. It wasn’t too wordy. It was interesting.
I know some people think that Biggie had something to do with Tupac’s death. But Biggie told people that he had no beef with Tupac and they were friends.
Nipsey was doing a lot in his community was he not?
exactly, nipsey was doing stuff for his community. working at his charity shop/store/or whatever when he got murdered about to close up that night.
I dont think biggie killed tupac. The first time tupac was shot he thought biggie did it. Tupac survived those wounds. But he accused biggie. But I dont see a poet artist trying to kill a rival poet artist. Just nahhhhhh. But tupac saw biggie come out of the elevator 5 seconds after he got shot and pointed his finger. Started the beef.
Suge was a dangerous threat, see MOB almost turned half of new york red.

suge was always my suspected killer of BOTH of them. The movie all eyez on me portrayed it much differently though. Like suge was a hero. So who knows really.
Also Pop Smoke put his AIRBNB address on instagram and someone rolled up and murdered him and robbed him…crazy world.
Wow that’s bad
If you can handle a (light and somewhat comedic) movie thats on drug (heroin) addiction.
Gridlock’d starring tupac and tim roth is one of my favorite movies ever. Highly recommended!
it made me think whoever killed him… It was Because the dude was just so freaking talented they were just jealous of him. What an acting performance in that one. Great movie. 5 stars
and the music soundtrack great too. which tupac performed on
he wrote a screenplay when he was in jail…theyve tried turning it into a movie
he was 25 years old…imagine what he wouldve done given all he did in such limited time???
I’ll look gridlock’d up on my Roku. Yes Tupac was hella talented and he died young. My daughter will be 25 in March and to me she’s just a baby.
