I do love my job and i do extremely well and I work very hard. And I’m hoping this goes perm eventually. Am I being too over optimistic?
There is no such thing as over optimistic! If something bad is going to happen, it will suck just as much whether you were anticipating it or not, so you might as well enjoy things while they’re good. That’s how I live, anyways.

If you work hard you greatly increase your chance of success. You’ve got that down. Employers always appreciate hard workers, and even if your current job does peter out, which it probably won’t, you can get a good reference from your former employer if you look for work anywhere else.
